- Vehicle battery dead. Used booster pack and attempted to crank engine. Found slight engine movement and then smoke coming from starter. Removed cooling fans and attemped to turn engine with breaker bar, found the engine only rotating about 5-10 degrees before stopping. Removed oil cap and found pieces of timing chain guide wedged up into valve cover. Timing chain guides have come apart and timing has jumped. Piston to valve contact has occurred due to timing jumping. Recommend replacing engine and starter. ***Customer declined any further repair at this time.***
